Jane Lynch

Jane Lynch began collecting things as a young girl  growing up in South Texas.  Rocks, feathers and  unique unusual things from nature found their way into her hands. She was drawn to these items but not really sure why or what she would or could do with them.

Jane learned weaving at the Texas Tech Center at Junction where she attended three weeks at a time for ten years. Her sewing, macrame and weaving skills created the foundation for the work she now produces from her studio that over looks the Llano River. Jane finds that the Llano River provides not only inspiration but some of the many natural items she includes in her altered art assembleges.

An unsuspecting visitor to her studio took one look at her work and said "but you look Normal". She took this comment as a compliment and now Jane and her family like to use this quote in their daily life. Joking that there isn't even a normal setting on her clothes dryer. Normal or not Jane's work is an amazing collection of items you might see in everyday life used in an extraordinary way.
