Lou Quallenberg
Award winning mesquite artist Lou Quallenberg grew up in New Jersey in a home that doubled as a Photography Studio/School. Identified early as an artist, he naturally picked up a camera as a young child.
By the age of fifteen Lou began his fascination with Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. Many late nights were spent creating and painting custom choppers for himself and friends, at a time when it was not a profitable business but an expression of style and individuality. Thus the passion for creating art in 3D was sparked.
In 2002 the lure of the peaceful Texas Hill Country was too strong to resist, so he made a final move with his wife across the country to Llano,Texas. Lou had already uncovered his love for wood and wood working, this move gave him a chance to concentrate on that passion and hone his skills. It also gave him a chance to work side by side with his Father-in-law, Partner, and Mentor, Steve A. Walker creating mesquite furniture with an eye towards design.
Lou Quallenberg creates custom, mesquite, live edge furniture. Sometimes called urban organic furniture, Lou's work is a contemporary style furniture with a flavor of the west. They are each signed, photographed and cataloged with the original buyer recorded to track the provenance of the piece. Sure to be real treasures for generations to come.
